The 21 Day Rhythm Reset
Day 1: Assess the Hustle

Hustle: to do things with urgency, anxious, frantic or forceful energy.
Normally I'm gung-ho about the whole New Years resolutions, reaching for the stars and getting things done, but this winter feels different. I feel like I'm craving peace more than anything else.
It could be because I started 2026 in the hospital, and that will force you to slow down and reassess what got you there.

And when it does... your perspective shifts.
Something I learned in the forced slow down is that NOT hustling... NOT forcing things to happen or get done... can actually can make them flow better, and it's a lot nicer of a ride. I'm not sure the laws of physics on this one but I'm convinced it's true.

And so I wanted to share this 21 day rhythm reset with you because I don't know a single other parent that isn't in hustle-mode somewhere... and I am now a true believer that life is better AND more productive when we actually pull back at precisely the times we feel most compelled to hustle.
What's Your Hustle Score?

So let's start by getting clear on where you're currently at. I have a worksheet for you here if you are that kind of person.

If I asked you to rate the feeling of hustle in your life from a 0 being "no hustle" to a 5 meaning everything feels like a hustle... where are you starting at?
Now let's peel it back to the specific areas of your life:
0 means you put no attention on this, 5 means you put hustle-level attention on this, and 3 means you've got this in a pretty good place.
Parenting: 0 to 5
Your relationship (if you have one): 0 to 5
Household management (cooking, cleaning, etc): 0 to 5
Your work or passion projects: 0 to 5
Your health (sleep, nutrition, exercise, mental health): 0 to 5
Your social outlets: 0 to 5
If I didn't cover other areas that are important to you, feel free to add them or revise these.
How Satisfied At Peace Are You?

Here it's going to probably get eye-opening if you're like me.
0 means you feel like you're failing or have no peace in this area and 5 means you have achieved Nirvana levels of peace in this area.

Your relationship (if you have one): 0 to 5
Household management (cooking, cleaning, etc): 0 to 5
Your work or passion projects: 0 to 5
Your health (sleep, nutrition, exercise, mental health): 0 to 5
Your social outlets: 0 to 5
Is it just me or do you feel like you have almost as little peace in the areas you are hustling so hard to do well in as the areas you're neglecting? Example... somehow I felt like I was always doing house stuff... and yet my house was falling a part to the point my mom decided she needed to do an intervention this Christmas. No joke.
That's because the culture of busy isn't actually getting us to where we want to be faster. I would even go as far as to suggest it's probably slowing us down.
What Do You Want to Be Different?

Throughout this reset, I'm going to give you ideas of things to shift from hustle to flow in your relationship with your child, yourself, and the rhythm of how you go about your life. But ultimately the question is-- what do YOU want these areas to look and feel like
